Portions of the KING JAMES VERSION of the BIBLE are quoted, contrasted with portions of both the VIRGINIA TEXT of Freemasonry and the preface written by Masons for Masons, found in the HOLY BIBLE - MASTER MASON EDITION. As the comparison unfolds, gaping discrepancies are uncovered, leaving behind, for some, a choice to be made. It is the Christian, who has decided to join the Freemasonry because of its excellent civic involvement and Christ-like service to others, who will find himself reconsidering that decision, after what was once hidden in darkness is exposed to the light. As Jesus states in the sixth chapter of St. Matthew, verse 24, "No man can serve two masters." According to God, Man must choose between truth and falsehood, and refuse to waver; "I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."(Revelation 3:15b-16). The preface to the Virginia Text demands just such a choice. It states, in a written prayer to be addressed to Jehovah by every Royal Arch Mason:"We bless Thee that when man had sinned and fallen from his innocence and happiness, Thou didst still leave unto him the power of reasoning, and the capacity of improvement and pleasure. We adore Thee, that amidst the pain and calamities of our present state, so many means of refreshment and satisfaction are afforded to us while traveling the rugged paths of life." According to the Bible, it should rather have read, 'when man had sinned and fallen from his innocence and happiness, Jesus Christ died on the cross for our salvation, and then took His life back again so that we might have eternal life with Him in heaven...'(cf John10:17-18). After all, in the Bible we read,"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."(Acts 4:12) Yet in the Virginia Text, no mention is made of this name"that is above every name", given by God the Father, "that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."(Philippians2:9-11) Rather than to the Person of the living God, the writers of the Virginia Text refer to Man's ability to reason and enjoy pleasure as the answer to his sin and fall 'from his innocence and happiness'. No mention is made of God's unchangeable law:"that the wages of sin is death," a law which condemns everyone in this world, without exception:"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"(Romans3:23).Nor is mention made that God has provided the only possible escape from this frightening prospect:"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."(Romans6:23) Such details so obviously avoided can hardly be excused as mere oversight. The apostle, Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, writes in his letter to the church at Rome;"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold(suppress, NIV) the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them."(Romans1:18) Apparently, the one, true and living God does not take such things lightly. The preface to the Holy Bible-Master Mason Edition offers the following 'Masonic Creed': "Freemasonry teaches the universal principle of unselfish friendship and promotes those moral precepts which are in keeping with all great faiths."...This claim, while diplomatic, is neither logical nor Christian. In Isaiah 43:10-11, YAHWEH, the Great I AM, declares, "You are my witnesses, ...and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour." Jesus states in John14:6, :"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Again, in Galatians 1:8-9, we are cautioned by the inspired words of the apostle, Paul, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now, again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." How then, since other "faiths" are precisely those "other gospels" of which Paul warns, can we as Christians accept a doctrine for the mere preaching of which either Man or angel is said to be accursed! Just below the 'Masonic Creed' in the Holy Bible-Master Mason Edition follows a list of 'Masonic Beliefs':" Mankind was created by one God.**This one God is the author of all life.**God's existence is revealed to man through faith and the Book of Holy Scriptures.**The Book of Holy Scriptures is the Ultimate Authority or Great Light of Freemasonry.**The soul of man is immortal.**Man`s commitment to Divine Providence determines his destiny.**Man's reverence for God is best exemplified by his actions toward his fellow man." Out of the seven beliefs just set forth, three directly contradict God's Word. The second statement, "God's existence is revealed to man...,"while ignoring God's revelation of Himself to us through His own creation (Psalm 19:1: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handiwork."), harbors yet another deception. The discovery can be made on page 31, underneath the heading, "Questions and Answers", that whenever a lodge consists "wholly of Mohammadens," the Koran would then "be esteemed as the book of the Law, and take the place on the altar occupied in Christian Lodges by the Bible." This is blasphemy, heresy, and anathema, leading one to reevaluate the fourth statement,"The Book of Holy Scriptures is the Ultimate Authority...". If, in a Masonic lodge the Bible is interchangeable with the Koran of Islam, one of the world systems of idolatry, then truly the "Ultimate Authority, or Great Light of Freemasonry" is the one who is known to disguise himself as the angel of light: Satan, also known as Lucifer, the author of confusion and the Father of Lies. The proposition that,"Man's commitment to Divine Providence determines his destiny", directly opposes the Bible account in Ephesians 1:3-6: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame, before him in love: Having predestined us into the adoption of children in Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." As R. C. Sproul said, if there were one maverick molecule (let alone an entire human body) in all the universe, then God would not be sovereign, and therefore, God would not be God. However, unmistakably, it is God, and God alone who determines Man's destiny, although, He allows us to have a role in the unfolding drama. Following the list of Masonic Beliefs, is the phrase, "considering the universality of Freemasonry...". This fails to make a distinction between the brotherhood of the children of God (those found in Christ Jesus), and the neighborhood of all mankind. Though believers are commanded by Christ to act as the 'Good Samaritan', loving our neighbor as ourselves, even our most mortal enemy, it is important to remember that Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, was not addressing the entire world. Thus, the "universality" claimed by Freemasonry, later referred to as the "fraternity", is false. On the contrary, our Lord's instructions to us in 2Corinthians 6:14-17a are explicit: "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God, and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord." Indeed, the question might well be asked, "What harmony is there between Christ and Osiris, or between Christ and Vishnu, or yet between Christ and Dionusos, or between Christ and Eleusis?", to cover only a few of the 'divinities' or descriptions of "DEITY" as set forth in the Masonic Preface here discussed. According to the explanation offered on page 3," The most abstract expression for DEITY, which language can supply, is but a sign or symbol for an object beyond our comprehension and not more truthful and adequate than the images of OSIRIS and VISHNU, or their names except as being less sensuous and explicit." This conflicts with the first two of God's Ten Commandments, which shall be quoted presently. On page 20 is found: "None has the right to object, if the Christian Mason sees foreshadowed in Chrishna and Sosiosch, in Mithras and Osiris, the Divine Word that, as he believes, became Man, and died upon the cross to redeem a fallen race. Nor can he object if others see reproduced, in the Word of the beloved Disciple, that that was in the beginning God, and that God, and by Whom everything was made, only the Logos of Plato, and the Word or Uttered Thought or first Emanation of Light, or the Perfect Reason of the Great, Silent, Supreme, Uncreated Deity, believed in and adored by all." This quotation is not only obvious blasphemy, but also illogical. Firstly, the Christian could not possibly see Christ foreshadowed in idolatries preceding his historical appearance in the flesh upon this earth. As for the claim, "None has the right to object...," one finds, to the contrary, in 1Kings 11:4-11: "For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David, his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD as did David his father. Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. And the LORD was angry with Solo mon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant." Evidently, GOD has the right to object, and did so, rather decidedly, to Solomon. Elijah, God's chosen prophet, picked up the same strain as he addressed from Mt. Carmel the children of Israel under the reign of the evil king Ahab: "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him." (1Kings 18:21) After an all-day contest to prove which is truly God, Elijah hailed the defeat of the 450 prophets of Baal with these words:" LORD GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is God; the LORD he is God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there." (1Kings18:36-40) Clearly, God had not yet read that part in the Masonic preface to His Holy Word, "None has the right to object"! No doubt, as God considers the suggestion in the preface to replace His Holy Word with the Koran, He should be carefully reminded that"None has the right to object"! However, close examination of the first, as well as the second of His Ten Commandments, reveals this insight:"I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, Thou shalt have none other Gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and forth generation of them that hate me, And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments."(Deuteronomy5:6-10) Jesus affirms these commandments by His words found in Matthew5:17-18:"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Furthermore, to call God "Silent, Supreme, Uncreated Deity" is to deny the truth found in the Bible. Because it is plainly recorded in St. Matthew1:23 that ,"...they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us", in John20:28 that "doubting Thomas" called the risen Lord "My Lord and my God", in Colossians1:16 that "by him were all things created" and in 2:9, "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily"; since Jesus identifies Himself as YAHWEH in John8:58:" Verily, verily I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am(Hebrew:Yahweh)"; since Jesus went to all that trouble, "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men"(Philippians2:6-7); since our God went to all that trouble to communicate with us, to show us His unconditional love and our measureless value in His eyes, how dare anyone call Him "Silent"! For that matter, how can anyone suggest, in a world where our "adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"(1Peter5:8), that Jesus would be "believed and adored by all"?!! Alas, but, as Jesus said, as He wept over rebellious Jerusalem, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"(St. Matthew23:37) As regards philosophy, God warns us through the apostle, Paul, in Colossians2:8:"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." In 1Corinthians1:18:-31, God reveals to His children, again through His agent, the apostle, Paul, that "preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness: but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." This quotation contrasts sharply with the following passage from page 18 of the Holy Bible-Master Mason Edition, under the title,'XX Master ad Vitam-N Master of the symbolic Lodges-S': "The true Mason is a practical Philosopher, who under religious emblems, in all ages adopted by wisdom, builds upon plans traced by nature and reason the moral edifice of knowledge. He ought to find, in the symmetrical relation of all the parts of this rational edifice, the principle and rule of all his duties, the source of all his pleasures. He improves his moral nature, becomes a better man, and finds in the reunion of virtuous men, assembled with pure views, the means of multiplying his acts of beneficence. Masonry and Philosophy, with being one and the same thing, have the same object, and purpose to themselves the same end, the worship of the Grand Architect of the Universe, acquaintance and familiarity with the wonders of nature, and the happiness of humanity attained by the constant practice of all the virtues." It is true, as the apostle, Paul, declares, that "we are labourers together with God; ye are God`s husbandry, ye are God`s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon." However, God warns us;"But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."(1Corinthians3:9-11) While the Mason is instructed to call forth knowledge, duty, and pleasure from the "edifice" of nature and reason, the child of God is directed to "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."(Proverbs3:5-6) Jesus put it this way: "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."(St. John15:4-5) Indeed, there can be no purity apart from Jesus Christ, as God discloses to us in Romans3:10: "...There is none righteous, no, not one." According to Ephesians2:8-10: "...by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." God cautions us in Romans1:22 and 25, against being like those, who, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools...,Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever." It is unthinkable that the Christian could even be tempted to exchange the foundation of a loving relationship with the everlasting Father, whose thoughts are as high above our thoughts as the heavens are above the earth,(cf Isaiah55:9) for a foundation of nature and the reason of man, on which to build his knowledge, duty, and pleasure. Truly, as recorded in Proverbs1:7: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..."; no other beginning will do. Following the list of "Masonic Beliefs", is a paragraph entitled "Masonic Teachings", which is here quoted: "Man`s first duty is to love and revere God, implore His aid in all laudable undertakings, and seek His guidance through prayer, embrace and practice the tenets of religion, extend charity and sympathy to all mankind, shield and support the widow and orphan, defend virtue, respect the aged, honor the bonds of friendship, protect the helpless, lift up the oppressed, comfort the downcast, restore dignity to the rejected, respect the laws of government, promote morality, and add to the common stock of knowledge and understanding." It must first be noted that the nature of this set of teachings and directives is, above all else, religious. The fact is, any declaration which begins with a definition of "Man`s first duty" is precisely religious in nature, addressing matters of morality, and reading like any other catechism at its best. The very next thing which must be noted is the lack of any reference whatsoever to Jesus Christ. According to 1John4:2-3: "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." No less explicitly, in 1John5:11-12, the truth is unfolded: "And this is the record: that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." Jesus, Himself, tells us in John14:15-17a: "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth." By contrast, rather than relaying the commands of the commander-and-chief of the universe, God in human flesh, whose Name is Jesus Christ, the Masons direct their members to "embrace and practice the tenets of religion". Because the general term, "religion" is used, rather than "Christianity",within this last instruction, it is nothing less than an invitation to idolatry, which has been shown to be an abomination in God`s eyes. What follows within the next section, labeled, "Progressive Steps In Masonry", serves fully to confirm the observations just set forth. Underneath the heading, "Apprentice", is written, "The blind Force of the people is a Force that must be economized, and also managed, as the blind Force of steam, lifting the ponderous iron arms and turning the large wheels, is made to bore and rifle the cannon and to weave the most delicate lace. It must be regulated by Intellect." Nowhere in the Bible are the children of God ever lumped into one mass or single entity. On the contrary, Jesus gives to each of us such specific attention that He tells us in St. Matthew10:29-33: "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." Later in the text, under the same heading, Masonry is said to be "the aspiration of the soul toward the Absolute and Infinite Intelligence, which is the One Supreme Deity, most feebly and misunderstandingly characterized as an 'ARCHITECT'. Certain faculties of many are directed toward the Unknown--thought, meditation, prayer. The unknown is an ocean, of which conscience is the compass. Thought, meditation, prayer, are the great mysterious pointings of the needle. It is a spiritual magnetism that thus connects the human soul with the Deity. These majestic irradiations of the soul pierce through the shadow toward the light." The apostle, Paul, addresses this same issue in Acts 17:22b-24a, Acts:17-26a, and Acts29-30: "Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,...And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being...Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man,s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent." As for the notion that "it is a spiritual magnetism that...connects the human soul with the Deity," a solid argument is found in 1Timothy2:5-6a: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all." Again, Jesus proclaimed, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me." (St. John 14:6b) Jesus denies any possibility of "majestic irradiations" playing even a minute role in the wondrous reconciliation of Man and God. As explained in Hebrews 9:15, "for this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant." The identification of Jesus with Yahweh is completed as we consider the words of Yahweh to the prophet in Isaiah 43:11: "I, EVEN I AM THE LORD AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO SAVIOUR." Under the heading, "The Fellowcraft", Masonry is identified with the religions of the Ancient Orient. After reference is made to the Egyptians, claim is laid to being "successor of the Mysteries ", a pagan " display of rights and exhibitions", which "still follows the ancient manner of teaching. Her ceremonies are like the ancient mystic shows,-not the reading of an essay, but the opening of a problem, requiring of research and constituting philosophy, the arch-expounder. Her symbols are the instruction she gives." The Mason is then directed to "study, interpret, and develop these symbols for himself", while instead, the Christian is directed by God to think on "whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely," and "whatsoever things are of good report" (cf Philippians 4:8). The Christian, therefore, must not indulge in the study of pagan symbols, which can be neither true, honest, just, pure, lovely, nor of good report. After the above instruction, is this declaration: "Christianity taught the doctrine of FRATERNITY; but repudiated that of political EQUALITY by continually inculcating obedience to Caesar and to those lawfully in authority. In the Monastery, there is fraternity and equality, but no liberty. Masonry added that also, and claimed for man the three-fold heritage, LIBERTY, EQUALITY, and FRATERNITY." Here Masons put themselves above God, as if it were possible for man to establish anything beyond the power and authority of his own Creator! In fact, the love of God is the very cement of the only true freedom and equality that exist. Liberty and equality without that cement are mere fantasy. To attempt to have anything apart from God is sin, and any promise made apart from God is from Satan, the father of lies. It isn't surprising to discover under the heading, "The Master", this equally challenging idea: "All religious expression is symbolism; since we can describe only what we see, and the true objects of religion are THE SEEN." This contrasts with 2Corinthians 4:18; "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." Moreover, it has already been mentioned and here is called to mind, that "God hath chosen...things which are not to bring to nought things that are" (cf 1Corinthians 1:27-28). One of the masonic definitions found on page 48, demands our attention before closing. The concept being defined is bigotry. In a dictionary, the definition given for bigotry is usually, "the behavior, attitude, or beliefs of a bigot". Therefore it is necessary to define the word, bigot, instead. In Webster's New World Dictionary of American English, one finds, "Bigot-1. a person who holds blindly and intolerantly to a particular creed, opinion, etc. 2. a narrow-minded person". The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines bigot as "n.-one who holds irrespective of reason and attaches disproportionate weight to, some creed or view". The Webster's New World Dictionary for Young Readers reads, "bigot- a person who stubbornly and without thinking holds to certain opinions and will not listen to other views; prejudiced and narrow-minded person". Finally, in the Thorndike and Barnhart Advanced Junior Dictionary , we find, "bigot- a bigoted person; intolerant, prejudiced person". Within each definition is at least one uncomplimentary phrase; "holds blindly", "narrow-minded", "irrespective of reason", "stubbornly and without thinking", and "prejudiced". By definition, all these descriptions apply to the term, bigotry. Interestingly, Masons define bigotry in the tradition of the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland, who declared "words mean what I mean them to mean". They leave out all these descriptive phrases, while defining bigotry like this: " bigotry-intolerance toward those of different creeds and religious affiliations". Not only have all derogatory descriptions been removed specifying the type of intolerance to which bigotry refers (i.e. "blind", "narrow-minded", "unthinking", etc.), but an addition has been made, as well. To insert the words, "those of", moves the battlefield from the realm of ideas to personal attack. By this double transformation of the proper definition, the obligation of the thinking individual to stand firmly behind what has been shown to be absolute truth, is disallowed. In fact, by the masonic definition, Absolute Truth, Himself is barred along with any effort to share the Truth lovingly with those who have erred and gone astray. According to Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way", and in St. John 14:6, we read once again, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me." Furthermore, in St. John 8:32, it is written, "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." The Mason is denied the possibility of attaining this one true freedom by denying the reality of Absolute Truth. Instead the Mason loses himself in the bottomless pit known as Relativism. For, if one can never be wrong, then most assuredly, one can never be right. Jesus, Himself, rebuts this proposal of Satan's with these words, found in St. Matthew 4:10," Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve." In answering Satan with the words, "It is written", Jesus demonstrates to his children the resource available in his own Holy Word. The confusion woven by Satan through the Masonic Preface is best seen in its amplified definition of bigotry on page 48: " Masonry has always been bitterly opposed (italics mine) to religious intolerance of every kind. As an institution, it has been the harbinger of religious and civil freedom, liberty of conscience, and separation of church and state." "Bitterly opposed"? What an expression of bigotry! We have seen already that Masonry by its own definition represses, rather than heralds religious freedom, since the only true liberty is found in Jesus Christ. And since, according to Romans 6:18, "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness", there is no such thing as "liberty of conscience", seeing by the Bible that one's conscience is either a servant of sin or a servant of righteousness. As for "civil freedom", the Masonry has accomplished more than any single institution in this country towards its destruction. This, it has achieved using that popular myth of the "separation of church and state". It is a phrase which supposedly comes from the first amendment to the constitution of the United States. However, that amendment actually reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Yet in the name of "separation of church and state", Congress has indeed brought to pass exactly what our forefathers tried so hard to avoid: it has made laws respecting an establishment of religion; it has made laws prohibiting the free exercise thereof; it has made laws abridging the freedom of speech; and it has made laws abridging the right of the people peaceably to assemble. By being a "harbinger" of the great lie of "separation of church and state", the Masonry has assumed the role of moral traitor against the people of this country. As such, the lie is given to the claim that Masonry is also the "harbinger" of civil freedom. Hardly. Though there is much more to address within the text of the Masonic preface, it should be abundantly clear that for all those who consider themselves to be both Mason and Christian, a choice must be made. As it has been pointedly expressed in Joshua 24:15, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house we will serve the LORD." &eqm9q9wn€n®r·rTsYsgs›st:tCtIt³tèt˜uÊu{w{w{r{w{w{w{r{r{w{r{r( ÊuøvwKw^w{„{||||*—€œ€èˆ{w{r{n{n{n{w{n{( êuT· flÇ‚%†-~2?7.=EKQ÷Y@^ˆh“lÇoÇo6rÀzɆæˆèˆÊuèˆÇoèˆ&pTimes New RomanXº6g^o ,³ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCompObjÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ
